Priory Bay Beach
Taste the sea air … wander down the woodland path from the hotel and find yourself upon Priory Bay, one of the Islands most beautiful sandy beaches. Our beach is the perfect location for shrimping, we provide buckets and spades for sandcastle building and you can arrange beach games or explore the nearby rockpools teeming with sealife.
Grounds and Woodlands
Priory Bay is a magical haven for wildlife and fauna including rare birds of prey and is one of the best places in England to see Red Squirrels in their natural habitat. These beautiful animals are indigenous to the Island and can be found climbing the trees on the Priory estate. They are endangered species and the Island is one of the only places in the country where you will see them.
Goodleaf Tree Climbing are the UK’s award winning recreational tree climbing specialists. We can arrange unique tree climbing experiences for ages 8-80 within the grounds of Priory Bay (for groups of 6 or more, excluding July & August). With the latest gear your family can ascend to the branches and at the top enjoy the beautiful sea views.
Alternatively, you can arrange your tree climbing experience direct through Goodleaf Tree Climbing to take place at their top secret Island location (no restriction on numbers).
Our hard courts are available for use daily. All tennis racquets and balls are found at reception.
