Whether you're looking for an elegant country house steeped in grandeur, or a simple, yet chic, barefoot wedding on a magnificent private beach — Priory Bay can accommodate a host of different wedding requirements.
This wildly romantic country retreat - set in its own 70-acre estate — boasts a range of period rooms and buildings, it's own sandy beach, panoramic views across The Solent, spectacular gardens, coastal and woodland walks, first-class dining and superb service.
The 18-bedroom hotel and neighbouring Tithe Barns are available for exclusive use. Many couples like to hire the whole hotel and treat this historic country house as their own, for the wedding weekend.
Our Head Chef and kitchen team can create a selection of special or bespoke menus, using homegrown and locally sourced produce: from sumptuous canapés to a seven-course banquet; a lobster/seafood barbecue to a simple pig roast on the beach.
Your Event Manager will create your own tailored wedding package: maybe a simple civil ceremony followed by a Champagne and canapé reception; a relaxed barbecue overlooking the sea or a lavish wedding breakfast (for up to 180).
Well-serviced by fast trains from London, catamaran services and car ferries — the hotel is approximately 2.5 hours from the capital. Guests can also arrive by helicopter or directly onto the hotel's private beach by hovercraft.
Priory Bay can accommodate up to 100 guests overnight on its coastal estate.

Choose Priory Bay for your perfect country house wedding by the sea and you can rest assured this romantic and historic location will be the perfect backdrop for your wedding with its spectacular location, magnificent views, diverse range of reception and dining rooms, lawns and marquee areas. The estate and its facilities can accommodate from 40 to 180 guests.
The Island Room, our gilded Regency dining room is perfect for the civil ceremony. With standing room for up to 60, it's also ideal for a smaller, more intimate wedding breakfast for 20 to 50 people.
The opulent surroundings of our Drawing Room are also ideal for a civil ceremony, and can accommodate up to 80 people seated.
The Priory Oyster, our stylish, yet relaxed restaurant/room, (with its own canopied alfresco terrace with views of the splendid grounds and Solent sea beyond) offers a more informal alternative.
The Priory Bay can accommodate up to 100 people (sleeping), subject to configuration of numbers. Rooms can be selected in either the hotel, Tithe Barns, Cluniac Cottage, The Coach House or in the numberous self-catering cottages and luxury yurts in the grounds.
We hold a licence for civil weddings and, with priory arrangement, Priory Bay can be treated as your own exclusive private home. Take the entire hotel for the weekend and we will create a bespoke package to suit your requirements. Please contact us for exclusive use details.
Select either a civil ceremony with Champagne and canapés on the lawn, or a civil ceremony with a spectacular wedding breakfast produced by our award winning kitchen team, or perhaps, a hog roast or barbeque on our private beach. For smaller, more intimate wedding parties the unique Regency "Island Room" is the perfect venue.
